After careful consideration of the current weather forecast, including extreme frigid temperatures overnight and early morning and saturated ground conditions, all Macon County Schools will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026. The safety of our students, staff, and families is our top priority. Thank you for your understanding and please stay safe and warm. Reminder: When school is CLOSED students do NOT complete remote learning assignments.

School Counseling January News

Bus 110 will not run this afternoon, Tuesday, January 13th. Please make transportation arrangements if your child rides bus 110.

You are invited attend a PTO meeting tomorrow evening, January 13th at 5:30 in the school media center. A presentation will be shared by school staff about Title 1 program support at East Franklin. Reminders: 1st quarter report cards are available on the parent portal. Please review your child's progress. Let us know if you need help with parent portal access. There will be no school for students on Monday, January 19th in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Stay warm and please put names in children's coats to help keep from losing them at school.

Bus 110 will not run tomorrow morning, January 12th. As of now it will run in the afternoon.

Bus 101 will not run this afternoon. If your child rides bus 101 please make transportation arrangements and notify the school or teacher. We apologize for the short notice.

Reminders: Students return to school tomorrow. If your child is feverish, vomiting or has other flu symptoms, they can't be at school. They can't return until they are fever free for 24 hours. Bus 163 will run mornings only until further notice. Bus 28 will run mornings only until further notice. Check parent portal on Thursday for your child's report card.

Bus updates for Thursday, December 18th: Bus 110 will not run tomorrow, bus 158 will not run tomorrow, bus 163 will not run tomorrow, bus 28 will not run in the afternoons tomorrow or Friday. Remember that Friday is an early dismissal day and car rider pickup will start at 11:10. Buses will load around 11:40. Students need to wear appropriate clothes for the fun at Winter Wonderland tomorrow. Spirit day for tomorrow is wear grinch clothes or green.

Thursday students will participate in Winter Wonderland in the gym during their specials hours of the day. PTO has sponsored inflatables for Winter Wonderland, please have students wear appropriate clothing-no buttons, zippers, dresses, etc.

Friday is an early dismissal day and the last day of school before Christmas break. Car rider line will begin at 11:10. Students will return on January 6th, 2026.
